WHY DOES ROEMHELD SYNDROME OCCUR?
Dr. Ludwig Roemheld investigated the occurrence of individuals experiencing cardiac symptoms who had digestive disorders but no obvious heart problems between the years 1910 and 1920. The medical profession would finally acknowledge the existence of a gastro-cardiac symptom complex, commonly known as the Roemheld Syndrome, by the 1940s as a result of increased attention given to his studies.
